Trattoria Dopo Teatro

Recently I made a reservation to meet family members and friends at Trattoria Dopo Teatro for dinner. I received an immediate response from the Director of Operations asking me if I needed a high chair and informing me that this restaurant had "children food" too: pizza and chicken.

The food was excellent, the wine was very good, the service was impeccable and the area where they seated us was very cozy and good for conversation. The waiter brought a vase with water for us to put some fresh flowers that we had. The whole experience at Dopo Teatro Restaurant was memorable.

We will definitely go back to this very special place.

The best meal overall during our trip to NY - booked late afternoon for the same evening before we went to a show. Right opposite our hotel, food and service was excellent although menu was a bit pricey. But the quality of food was fantastic and portions HUGE - i had Gamberi con Favette to start and no exaggeration I must have had approx 25 shrimps on my plate (a starter remember). The main course was papperdelle with "shavings" of wild boar - i could barely see the pasta for the meat. The wine started at around $30 but the wine waiter managed to persuade me to upgrade to a $37 Chianti which was delicious (although not a good idea before a show)! In total the bill was $140 just over £100 but couldn't fault anything.
