It's difficult to peg this small restaurant. It calls itself an 'American Bistro'. On the night we, a party of 4, went I was the only one who was really pleased with my choices. The other three had pasta whilst I went for the more indiginous clam chowder and burger. I don't know if we are used to a different kind of Italian style of cooking in the UK / Europe but I can see why my friends were disappointed. The sauce wasn't really appropriate for the style of pasta, that is to say that certain consistencies of sauce go better with certain types of pasta and on this occasion they got it wrong. There is nothing worse than a pile of dry pasta with no sauce. So the advice here is go for the good American classics and you will have a good meal at a very reasonable price with efficient and amiable service.
