our comments

This trendsetting hot spot, the first from bistro king Keith McNally, was the pioneer restaurant-bar that made the TriBeCa scene a scene. Dark, smoky and deliberately under-designed with vinyl banquettes, Formica tables and linoleum floors, Odeon still draws the super-cool, late-late-night fashion- and art-world crowd, along with some of the suburban set. Expect a cocktail party--like atmosphere (and noise level), and such so-so bistro dishes as filet mignon, grilled tuna and braised lamb shank, along with good frites, a super burger and moderately priced wine.
