our comments

This very old-world French eatery is renowned for its sensational flower arrangements, golden light and superb service. The dining room evokes the romance of Paris in a bygone age. The menu of classics is superbly executed by Ian Scollay. You don’t need to brush up on your high school French before you go to negotiate the "carte"; the savvy waiters will gladly help you. We recommend the restaurant’s namesake, sautéed frogs’ legs infused with brown butter and garlic, or the signature escargots layered with porcinis and herbed butter. Other appetizers might include an updated classic of foie gras with quince or crisp sweetbreads with turnips. Try pike quenelles in a Champagne sauce as an entrée, or excellent côte de boeuf in a pepper crust. Lovers of classic desserts will delight in the airy soufflés, but since they require preparation time, you need to order them in advance.
