Keens Steakhouse
our comments
Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.- April 2005

Oh my god! What a fabulous restaurant!
My wife and I ate at this Chophouse at the recommendation of the concierge at the Radisson Martinique hotel.
We were met upon entering the restaurant with a friendly face and a welcoming manner unexpected on our first night in Manhatten.
Service was prompt and friendly. The food was simply divine and if you can avoid the traditional temptation to eat beef, I strongly recommend the mutton with peppermint jelly - wow.
One point of note is the delectable whisky menu with a huge selection from around the world.
The food was reasonably priced for the quality and service provided and this bustling cosily lit restaurant was both intimate and comfortable.
When you are next in New York, do your self a favour and book a table!!!
