Maybe the best upscale Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side.
The prix-fixe lunch for $25 is like having early dinner, after a visit to the Metropolitan Museum which is just steps away.

This authentic Italian restaurant serves the finest Northern dishes as well as Regional specialties.
The service is great and the staff is knowledgeable. I love their Dover sole.

This charming restaurant has become our favorite Italian on the upper east side of Manhattan. Every time we go here, there is a new item on the menu which is as delicious as the time before. The menu, btw, offers many excellent choices.
If we want to order low calorie, which we did last night, we order smoked salmon rollatini [tender asparagus rolled with salmon & goat cheese] and an entree size of tuna & salmon tartare with avocado, accompanied by a delicious Tuscany wine.
We split a homemade custard peach tart, with iced decafe cappucino. One night the home-made manicotti was to die for. We are particulary crazy about their version of oysters Rockefeller. We love all the variations of veal dishes, not to mention the chicken, lamb and steak. The great variety of pasta dishes will get you salivating. The choice of wine is excellent.
The handsome young owner is at the door to greet you, [as well as say goodbye]. The entire staff is friendly, very attentive and smart. The decor is lovely and intimate. We had a birthday party here, and many memorable evenings with friends and/or just the two of us. We recommend Giovanni Ventecinque at the highest level for all categories. We guarantee, you're going to love it!
