I went here on a recent trip to New York - we both ordered steak, which were enormous BUT perfectly cooked! I thought this place was great and our waiter was very thorough.

I'm a Brit and dined here with US colleagues after a gruelling day. I found it a great wind-down, with relaxed atmosphere, efficient rather than friendly service and, best of all, brilliantly simple and tasty food. I had a sumptuous sirloin which had been cooked with a Kona coffee bean coating - a strange combo which I went for out of curiosity but which worked fine for me. Although they looked delicious, I forewent the dauphinoise potatoes and piled into the creamed spinach, which was perfect. Who says Americans can't cook 'greens'. I didn't pay so can't advise on value, but it's a regular for the media guys at 375 Lexington Avenue, and they're no mugs, and on that basis I'll give it a 'neutral' 7
