Always busy, bordering on claustrophobic, because a lot of people think Batali can do no wrong.

Food is good, used to be better, and the service has gone steadily downhill. Before it was basic, now it's arrogant bordering on non-existent.

Used to love it, now I know better.

Tamarind and Thyme

Tamarind and Thyme

Saturday, September 27, 2008 - To celebrate our last day of work in New York, Mirna and I took ourselves to Babbo. It was on my list of places to eat in New York and as we’d only managed to secure a reservation for 22:45 the following day on Thursday, we tried to drop in that day, on Wednesday, much earlier. No problem! If you’re happy to wait by the bar with a drink in hand and delicious little olives and crispy parmesan-covered grissini to nibble on, a table can be secured for you.
