Braai

I have no idea if this is an authentic South African experience, but the food is seriously good. If you've never had ostrict or antelope before, Braai is a good place to start. Decor is cool and dim lighting makes it quite atmospheric, possible good for a date but I went with friends.
We felt let down by the service, which was quite slow and some dishes arrived later than others. Overall though, I'd go back.

Restaurant Girl - 2/5
Tuesday, September 30, 2008 - Do you ever read the menu online before you go to a restaurant? It's a bad idea, at least at Braai. I skipped lunch and all of my mid-afternoon snacks because I planned to take down a barbecued ostrich that evening. And what did I get? I got one dainty skewer of overcooked ostrich, domestically raised. I didn't want domestically raised. I had my heart set on ostrich right off the veldt.
