Gramercy Tavern
our comments
This New York eatery offers a little of something for everyone. The rustic décor is a nice break from modern Manhattan life. There is a classy seven course prix-fix tasting dinner from Chef Tom Colicchio in the main dining room and a casual bar and entrees in the tavern room. The entrees tend to be meat, fish and poultry, classic American grill. Many of the deserts are popular. Service is said to be of high quality. Good for an important business dinner or a sweet romantic interlude, this restaurant has garnered a lot of respect from American reviewers and is recommended everywhere else you find it listed.- October 2004
