Daniel
our comments
This exclusive French restaurant may be New York City’s answer to California’s French Laundry: maybe not as world renown, but arguably a more upscale set up and just as expensive and just as hard to get a table at. Which one has better food? It’s debateable. But the one thing that is not debatable is that they both serve exquisite cuisine. Daniel’s kitchen has had equipment custom made to make it unique from other places you have been. Several course meals allow you to try many parts of the menu – great for when you are in the mood for variety.- October 2004

Superb. My wife and I had not dined at Daniel since they moved to their current upper East side location. What an improvement! The main dining room is as elegant as you would expect to find in Europe. The service was impecable. We tried the tasting menu with accompanying wines. It was one of the finest dining experiences we have ever had.
